About the photoshoot with Valerie
I have photographed Valerie only once so far, but it was absolutely worth it. It was one of those shoots that leaves a strong impression and stays in your mind long after it is over.
Together, we created my favorite Burning Man series — a shoot built around beautiful costumes, warm sunlight, sand, freedom, and a bold visual atmosphere. Valerie fit that concept perfectly. Her look, energy, and presence in front of the camera worked beautifully with the whole mood of the series.
In the photographs, she appears natural, confident, and deeply feminine. She can look strong and striking in one moment, then soft and effortless in the next. That is exactly what gives the final images both visual power and a natural sense of lightness.
In this series, nudity does not feel forced or excessive. It is a natural part of the overall aesthetic — connected to the heat, the styling, the open space, and the feeling of freedom we wanted to capture.
