Photoshoot for New Year’s Card 2023?
In the past, Veronika and I had collaborated on several photoshoots, but I was still surprised when she approached me with another, somewhat unconventional idea. She wanted photographs created directly in the well-known cabaret club GoldFingers on Wenceslas Square in Prague.
Just a stroll along Wenceslas Square in the evening makes the club impossible to miss. We took advantage of the unique opportunity of practically open doors to the larger halls, since Veronika worked at the club as a manager. It was almost like a home environment for her, which helped create a relaxed atmosphere.
We simply scheduled the shoot for the early evening hours, when the club was still closed, and the space was entirely ours.
The upcoming Christmas holidays called for themed shots, and we were able to use a wide variety of costumes and outfits, of which the club had no shortage. We quickly found a Christmas outfit perfectly suited for Veronika and dove into the shoot. The Christmas theme fit seamlessly into the cabaret club atmosphere, giving the photographs an original and pleasantly cheeky impression.
We managed to complete the shoot at the very last moment. As we were packing up the equipment and props, the adjacent room was already buzzing with activity, chatter, and creative nerves. The girls were preparing for the evening performance, trying on costumes and finalizing last details. Surrounded by such beauty, I regretted that I couldn’t stay for the evening. For just a few hours, the GoldFingers club served as my backdrop, yet it won a place in my heart as the perfect setting to capture Christmas-themed shots infused with luxury, sensuality, and cabaret atmosphere.
