HotFolk 2025
My second HotFolk calendar photoshoot
This year again, I had the honor of being part of the relaxed and slightly provocative HotFolk project. Ahead of me was the photoshoot for the 2025 calendar. The success of last year’s edition set the bar high, and we aimed to find an equally picturesque location. We gathered at the end of June and were welcomed by beautiful countryside near Prague. The summer sun and a pleasant day filled with a creative atmosphere hinted at an engaging shoot—one that would certainly please the eye.
A great team and a familiar crew
I was looking forward to working again with the well-coordinated team from the previous year. I knew most of the selected girls from the last calendar shoot or from other projects. The ease and confidence with which the experienced models posed added a veil of natural allure to the shots. The new faces quickly blended into the team, and the whole day carried a friendly and inspiring atmosphere. One shot naturally led to another, and each setup came together effortlessly. Perhaps the photos themselves will reflect the laughter, the enjoyable moments, and the sense of ease that are so characteristic of a HotFolk shoot.
Charming countryside and traditional motifs
The scenes were set in the beautiful surroundings of the Czech countryside, where beautiful women have belonged since time immemorial. We combined traditional motifs with a summer atmosphere and details offered by the picturesque nature itself. A stunning old timbered cottage, summer flowers, stone walls, and quietly rustling leafy trees radiate a sense of calm to everyone—even those who only pause there for a moment.
Admiring graceful curves and delicate feminine beauty is certainly part of it, but we also aimed to capture the scent of blooming meadows, freshly baked treats, and the peace that surely once filled rural homes. It’s a reminder of a time when people gathered around a shared table in the evening, neighbors met regularly, Saturdays were for dancing, and people felt close to one another—not only through fun, but also through a genuine willingness to help each other.
A backdrop of Czech-Slovak beauties
The day filled up with beautiful shots, and I’m glad we managed to capture moments that showcase the beauty of the Czech landscape while highlighting the importance of friendship and respect for tradition. Try taking a quiet walk by a pond one summer day, weaving a wreath from wildflowers, or simply listening to the gentle rustle of the forest. The surrounding silence and soft rays of sunlight will soothe you.
